pre Piano® Keyboard

pre Piano Keyboard is the next app after a child has mastered miniMAL
Instead of animals, we now use a color-coded keybaord which, just like the animals, helps visual learners to understand and use this app faster.
Little Composers apps are different from all other music apps because we focus on creativity instead of copying and therefore, students don’t play pre-made content. Instead, they compose their own lessons which can produce amazing results in just hours instead of years.

How to use this app

Press the COMPOSE button to activate the boxes.

step one press compose

Now the app looks like this and will record every key you play.
If you accidentally touch a key but are not ready to record, then press NEW and start over.

step two play red piano keys

How to compose a melody
From this point on, you simply play red keys to fill the red boxes and white keys to fill the white boxes.
Hint! Your compositions will sound much better if you finish with them with a C note.

How to play your composition
When all blocks have been filled, you should press the PLAY button and listen to your new composition. If you are happy with how your composition sounds, then it’s time to learn how to play your masterpiece. Be patient and don’t rush. Nobody every plays a new song right away and the secret to success is repetition. Music teachers call repetition practice. The more you practice, the faster you will be able to learn your compositions and the better you will sound as you play.

Erase and Replace

Every composition can be improved and to do so, you can erase any of the recorded notes. Here are the steps:

  1. Touch the box which holds the note you want to erase
  2. Play a piano key and it will overwrite the old note with the new one you played.
